The ‘SINGING’ SANTA CAUSE
The 12 Days Of Christmas Cross-Country Peace Project
(December 26, 2010 to January 6, 2011)
SANTA RAISES AWARENESS AND FUNDS FOR PEACE FOUNTAIN CAUSE
During Christmas season
2010, an anonymous ‘Singing Santa’ will attempt to break a
Guinness Book of World Records
by singing non-stop while traveling throughout the United States over a
12-day period to promote peace. Tour will begin from the rooftop of an
undisclosed location in the Greater Cleveland area on December 26, 2010 and
conclude on January 6, 2011 in North Pole, Alaska. Thirty-eight states will
be visited by Santa during the 12-Days of Christmas Cross-Country Peace
Project.
Santa will sing primarily “Peace Songs” as he travels to locations that have created peace monuments, peace parks and programs throughout the US (see http://peace.maripo.com/). Santa will also sing at Fire stations, Police stations, and in City parades from the top of city fire trucks. Mode of transportation across the country will include a “Peace” train, chartered bus, RV, boat and airplane as Santa makes his way from Ohio to North Pole, Alaska. Pledges will be sought according to the number of hours Santa is able to sing continuously. Donations will be given to the Mission IMPROVE Peace Project Fund
(see www.missionimprove.org). Santa hopes to raise $350,000 to replicate a Peace monument that IMPROVE created in 2002 for the divided communities of N. Ireland (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/yourplaceandmine/londonderry/A781120.shtml).
The
International
Model of
Peace for the
Reduction
Of
Violence through
Education (IMPROVE) program
was started in Cleveland, Ohio in 1998 and has since grown to include peace
projects in Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, Republic of Ireland
and Slovenia. The Singing Santa will lend his talents to the IMPROVE program
following his 2009 feat of singing for 75 continuous hours in Geneva, Ohio
from December 22 to December 25, 2009 (see

To verify the Singing Santa’s feat to Guinness World Records Limited (London), the coordinating non-profit organization Inspirational Media International is searching for a team of professional musicians and college students to witness the 12-day event and assist Santa with this unique Christmas venture.
